Hello and welcome to The Waystation! Why is the site called The Waystation? Well, I was always going to call my first pub that name. But since i'm not rich, and I don't know how to run a pub anyway, i've decided to name my website it instead. This is actually the fourth version of this site as I struggled to nail down exactly what I wanted it to be. The previous incarnation was white font on a black background and was kind of picture heavy. This might look cool, but for a text heavy site like this one, it's a bit of a design faux pas and seared eyeballs are never funny. So a back to basics type approach seemed the sensible option. Everything has been pretty much simplified and most of the graphics are gone so it should download a lot faster. There are 3 basic sections on this website: 1. Reviews: these are mainly of TV shows. Currently featured are complete reviews of every Buffy episode (even if it's only a couple of lines in some cases), quite a few Angel episodes and Thoughts on Firefly. Observant readers will have noticed that these three shows all came from the mind of Joss Whedon. What can I say, he does good TV. Nuff said. It is my intention to review every episode of Star Trek in full page reviews and Starwars, including some book spin offs. I realise this is almost certainly a fool's errand, but sometimes you have to chase those windmills, you know? 2. My Writing: Says it all really. This is my attempts at creative writing, including samples of my Novel and short storys, plus essays and a rambling on-line journal. 3. Links: Pretty obvious I think. Well that's everything, so get reading and if you want you can e-mail me by clicking here. Cheers.
